Finding the Way: Miracles in Every Day
© 2007 by Jean-Christine
A dear friend once shared an important life lesson with
me, a wise and caring woman who'd lived long enough to
experience her fair share of important life lessons
firsthand. She told me, "Life is all about
perspective. Half full or half empty. You choose."
So simple. So significant.
Through the years I've come to
recognize the truth of her words. We are all responsible
for how we view life's events from the most spectacular,
i.e. birth, death, weddings, illness, etc
. . . to the most ordinary--like dropping a full pickle
jar on the tiled kitchen floor and in an instant making a potentially-dangerous mess
that will take an hour to clean, while racing to
get children and their lunches to school on time.
The choice of half full or half empty
depends a lot on the yardstick we use to measure.
Against a worldly yardstick my staging
lung cancer diagnosis could easily have been viewed as a
tragedy, an unexpected and unfortunate turn of events
and a clear illustration of the saying: Life's tough.
Get a helmet . . .
Against a spiritual yardstick that
very same diagnosis revealed itself to be a miracle that
turned my life upside down, brought some wonderful
people into my circle of acquaintances, and sent me on a journey that I'm
still on today. I'm finding the way . . . understanding
how God works in my life, how prayer is a
powerful intercessor, and how miracles can and do
happen--not once in a while, but every day.
Here's where I could use a some help .
. . Click here to find out how!
