Note: The following Chaplets are all prayed on
the popular Marian Rosary, one of
the Catholic Church Sacramentals.
Divine Mercy
Chaplet
Two (Optional) Opening Prayers
1. You expired, Jesus, but the source of life
gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy
opened up for the whole world. O Fountain of
Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the
whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
2. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from
the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for
us, I trust in You!
Begin with the following prayers:
Our Father
Hail Mary
The Apostles' Creed
Prior to each decade (ten small beads), you
say the following prayer on the large bead:
Eternal Father,
I offer you the Body and Blood,
Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.
On each of the ten small beads, you say the
following prayer:
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Upon the completion of the 5 decades (50
small beads), you say the following prayer 3
times:
Holy God,
Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us
and on the whole world.
(Optional) Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the
treasury of compassion - inexhaustible, look
kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent, but with great confidence
submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is
Love and Mercy itself.
Amen.
Chaplet of
Conversion
On the crucifix, being with the "The
Apostle's Creed" for the unbelievers of the
world.
On the first bead pray, the "Our
Father..." for the grace of conversion of
the world.
On the second bead pray a "Hail
Mary..." to honor the Father for the
exaltation of Mary, a mere creature, and for
choosing to honor her with the title, "Queen of
heaven and Mediatrix of all graces."
On the third bead pray the "Hail,
Holy Queen..."
On the medal, say the following prayer,
"O Holy Mother, I join you at the foot of your
Son's Cross to implore mercy and conversion for
the souls of the world.
With you, I offer the Wounds of your Son, Jesus,
to the Father, in atonement for the sins of the
world past, present and to come."
On each of the small beads, say,
"Through the Sorrowful, Bleeding,
Immaculate Heart of Mary, and in union with the
suffering of her Son,
Jesus, on the Cross, I implore of the Father,
the grace of the conversion for the world."
On each of the large beads, say a "Hail
Mary..." in honor of Mary's Tears of Sorrow.
After the "Hail Mary"
on each large bead, say,
"Holy Mother Mary, Mediatrix of all graces,
obtain for us from God, the conversion of the
world.
Then say 3 "Glory
Be..." in honor of the Blessed Trinity.
When finishing the Chaplet, say the prayer "Hail,
Holy Queen..."
Chaplet of
Faith
On the large beads, you say the
The Apostles' Creed.
On the small beads, you say: "Jesus, Mary, I
love you, save souls, save the consecrated."
At the end, after having completed the 5
decades, say 5 times the following:
Hail Holy Queen,
Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and
our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of
Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of
mercy towards us;
and after this our exile, show unto us the
blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Amen.
Chaplet for the Holy Souls
Make the "Sign Of The Cross" on the Cross.
Then say the Apostle's
Creed ...
On the 5 beads between the Cross and the medal,
say,
1 Our Father...
3 Hail Mary...
1 Glory Be...
For each decade, proceed as follows: On the
large bead prior to 10 small beads, say:
"O Holy Souls draw the fire of God's love into
my soul,
to reveal Jesus Crucified in me here on earth,
rather than hereafter in Purgatory."
On each of the small beads, say:
"Crucified Lord Jesus, have mercy on the souls
in Purgatory."
When you have completed all 5 decades, say 3
times the Glory Be...
Chaplet of Mercy and Forgiveness
Begin by blessing yourself and kissing the
Crucifix. Looking at the crucifix, say:
"Lord Jesus, we believe in You as You are the
Son of Mary and the Son of the Living God,
Creator and Redeemer.
You came from heaven to earth to save all
mankind. You are the Savior of the World. You
taught us to pray:
'Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy
name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as
it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us
our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the
glory, now and forever.
Amen.'"
On all of the "Our Father" beads, instead of
the "Our Father," say:
"Merciful Jesus, our Redeemer, You said, "ask
and you shall receive."
We humbly ask You to hear our prayer, forgive us
our sins and grant us Your peace and salvation.
We praise You now and forever."
Amen.
On all of the "Hail Mary" beads, instead of
the "Hail Mary," say:
"Holy God, Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us."
At the end of each decade (10 beads), instead
of the "Glory be to the Father," say:
"Most Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God, intercede for us."
At the end of the last decade of the chaplet,
say:
"Most blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
intercede for us,
for the forgiveness of our sins, peace and
eternal salvation
from your loving Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
the only Son of the Living God, and we praise
you,
we bless His name now and forever."
Glory be to the Father...
Chaplet of
Our Lady's Tears
Begin as follows: Replace the Apostle's Creed
with:
"Crucified Jesus! We fall at Your feet and offer
You the tears of her
who with deep compassionate love accompanied You
on Your sorrowful way of the Cross.
Grant, O Good Master, that we take to heart the
lessons
which the tears of Your most holy Mother teach
us,
so that we may fulfill Your holy will on earth,
that we may be worthy to praise and exalt You in
Heaven for all eternity."
Replace the Our Father's with:
V. "O Jesus, look upon the tears of her
who loved You most on earth,"
R. "And loves You most ardently in
Heaven."
Replace the Hail Mary's with:
V. "O Jesus, hear our prayers,"
R. "For the sake of Your most holy
Mother's tears."
At the end of the Chaplet, say 3 times the
following:
V. "O Jesus, look upon the tears of her
who loved You most on earth,"
R. "And loves You most ardently in
Heaven."
Say the following prayer at the end of the
Chaplet:
"O Mary, Mother of love, sorrow and mercy, we
beg you to unite your prayers
with our so that Jesus, your Divine Son, to Whom
we turn may hear our petitions
in the name of your maternal tears and may give
us in addition to the favors we ask,
the crown of everlasting life."
Amen.
Chaplet of
Unity
Starting on the Medal and later the 4 single
beads between each set of 10 beads, say the
following prayer:
"God our Heavenly Father, through Your Son
Jesus, our Victim High Priest, True Prophet, and
Sovereign King,
pour forth the Power of Your Holy Spirit upon us
and open our hearts.
In Your great mercy, through the motherly
mediation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Queen,
forgive our sinfulness, heal our brokenness, and
renew our hearts in the faith, and peace, and
love,
and joy of Your Kingdom, that we may be one in
You."
On each of the beads in the sets of 10, say
the following prayer:
"In Your great mercy, forgive our sinfulness,
heal our brokenness, and renew our hearts that
we may be one in You."
The Chaplet ends with the following prayer:
"Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is One God!"
"O Jesus, King of All Nations, may Your reign be
recognized on earth!!"
"Mary, our Mother and Mediatrix of all graces,
pray and intercede for us your children!"
"St. Michael, great Prince and Guardian of your
people, come with the Holy Angels and Saints
And protect us!
