| A little about me and all I'm learning . . .
We’re all called to love and serve our Lord and one
another, but picking up our crosses each day can be a
poignant, joyous and funny journey, sometimes lonely and
difficult, often demanding, but always real--no
matter what our denomination. This Web community is
about sharing that journey, about inspiring and
encouraging and commiserating with each other as we,
real people facing real challenges, keep our
gazes fixed on finding the blessings in our varied roles
as children of God.
I'm a lifelong Catholic and a real woman, married to my
school administrator husband for nearly nineteen years and
blessed with two beautiful daughters, now in their
teens. I’m an active member of my parish. I've been a
career writer for the past dozen years, and under
various pseudonyms I’ve published twenty-three books in
romance mass market, trade paperback and hard cover,
winners of such prestigious industry awards as RT
BOOKreview Reviewers' Choice, National Readers’
Choice, Holt Medallion, Rendezvous Rosebud, Cataromance
Reviewer’s Choice, Reader and Bookbuyers’ Best, Venus
Book Club and Best Book of the Year, Award of Excellence
and Waldenbooks’ Most Romantic Moment. My books have
made bestseller lists and been featured as Doubleday
Book Club Selections.
After a diagnosis of staging lung cancer and a
healing miracle in my life, I’ve been finding my way
closer to our Lord. Surrendering my career to His will
is one more step on my journey, and the reality of
moving from busy secular author to budding Christian
journalist has been surprising in many ways. I want to
share those surprises and learn about the things surprising others. Every day is filled with “aha” moments
and miracles that come in all shapes and sizes. That's
what my new writing projects are about: miracles.
Finding the
Way is a non-fiction project that will encompass
several books, the first of which is Miracles in Every Day.
My blog is an ongoing look at these miracles. I'm
inviting visitors to share their stories of the
miraculous things happening in their lives. I've come up
with several different "types" of miracles so far but
know there are
others . . . Shadow-Seekers deals with the darker side
of miracles and how the devil works to deceive us into
believing they don't exist. It's a fiction project about an
FBI-type agency battling against the spiritual warfare
struggles happening in our country today--struggles all too many people won't acknowledge exist.
The Chosen is the first book in the series, and I'll
post a release date along with a Web site devoted to the Shadow-Seekers and their
missions in the near future. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to getting to know
visitors and sharing our stories!
